Product Overview


The HazLo Drive is a VFD rated to UL Class I Division 2 hazloc environments. Available in 20-100 HP 480 VAC or 575 VAC 3Ø inputs, the HazLo is a wall mountable NEMA Type 4X (IP66) enclosure which is suitable for indoor or outdoor use.


Our patented cUL listed design, packages a Vacon vfd in a NEMA 4X rated enclosure for Class 1 Div 2 environments. The HazLo can be installed near the application process reducing costs associated with long motor lead lengths. The HazLo is able to work outside without additionl protection and includes an 'Arctic Mode' allowing it to operate down to as low as -10ºc.

  • Communication boards for Ethernet IP, DeviceNet, ModBus TCP/IP or ProfiBUS
    • The ability to accept option boards enhances the Vacon X5’s application flexibility. All options include five (5) channels of 115 VAC control

Program Sequence Controller 25-step, PLC-type functionality that can control speed, direction and ramps based on time, analog input, digital input, or pulse input. Conditional branching, addressable outputs and real time operations possible.
PI and PID Feedback Process control available with the use of a customer supplied transducer, either 0-10Vdc, 4-20mA or optical encoder input to the drive. Includes an optional sleep mode, activated when the loop is satisfied.
